Homosexuality, Slavery,
& Abortion

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signs several Homosexual Bills. On the same day Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed several homosexual bills dealing with education in California, I sent the following letter to the State Capitol:
"I understand that the Governor has signed several bills designed to force schools to promote the homosexual agenda. The positive portrayal of transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality to children as young as kindergarten is a recipe for moral chaos and it will be highly detrimental to the welfare of our society.
I am questioning the mental sanity of those politicians who have succumbed to the pressure from homosexuals with their deviant agenda. Can't they see that if the purveyors of this moral filth were to succeed the future of our society would be at risk? Just imagine what would happen if everybody were to accept the homosexual gospel: The aim of everybody would be to maximize pleasure and minimize responsibility for our future generations.
If everybody were to adopt the homosexual lifestyle, nobody would desire the responsibility of having nor raising children. This would place the future of California in jeopardy. Children are our most valuable investment. Without them, there is no future for our State. Homosexuals goal is to maximize their pleasure without contributing for the preservation of the human race.
Why we want to encourage young children to respect and adopt the homosexual lifestyle blows my mind. The tendency of these new laws will go in the direction of weakening the moral foundation of a great state."

Adventists State their Opposition to the Modern Practice of Slavery. After reading the recent Pacific Union Recorder's article deqaling with the modern practice of slavery, I sent the following letter to the editor of said official Seventh-day Adventist publication:
"Slavery is unfair, cruel, and inhumane, and I want to congratulate you for supporting legislation aimed at stopping this detestable crime against humanity. There is, though, a much worse crisis in our society: the practice of abortion.
Slavery deprives a human beings of their freedom. Abortion deprives them of life. The harm done by enslavement can be alleviated by the hope of eventual freedom. The harm done by abortion is irreversible.
Adventists have always been in opposition to slavery. We cannot say the same about abortion. Our early pioneers condemned the practice of abortion in the strongest terms. Modern-day Adventists have departed from this fine tradition which served Christianity for two millennia.
We justify the shedding of innocent blood in the name of therapy and compassion. Since when killing has become a therapy treatment? Would the defenders of abortion accept said therapy for themselves? How come they prescribe it for the most innocent group of human beings?
Slavery deprives innocent children and adults of their God-given freedom. We justify the execution of innocent unborn babies in the name of freedom of choice. Our official Guidelines on Abortion state that Jesus died to make us free. If this is true, then perhaps he also died to grant us the freedom to rape, steal, and sexually abuse little children.
I wonder how otherwise intelligent theologians managed to concoct such perverse religious statements to justify what our early pioneers described as murder. We should remember that King Pharaoh, the one who ordered the drowning of Jewish boys, perished by drowning; and King Herod, who sent his soldiers to kill the children in Bethlehem, was eventually eaten by worms.
We tend to forget that Jesus stated that our eternal destiny will be determined by the way we treat "the least of these," and if the unborn do not qualify as the "least of these," then who will? Jesus stated: "Let the children come to me." How can they come to Jesus, if we slaughter them before they have a chance to take their first breath?
I don't think you will publish this, because we have developed a blind spot in our moral vision regarding this life and death issue because our leaders have failed to avoid this moral detour.
In 1970, two years before the legalization of abortion, Neal Wilson stated that the SDA Church was leaning towards abortion because there was too much hunger and overpopulation in the world. What a shame! We led the way in this genocide!
We have condemned the Catholic Church for persecuting the innocent in the past. We persecute the innocent in the present and generously label ourselves as the "Remnant" who keep God's Commandments!
Recently the German and Austrian SDA leadership issued an apology for our cooperation with Hitler while innocent human beings were being slaughtered. We justify the killing of the unborn today and pray for god's blessing.
The Jews killed the Author of life two thousand years ago and rushed to keep the Sabbath holy. Many of our hospitals butcher the unborn, but we make sure to preach about the sanctity of the Sabbath.
How can the Sabbath be holy if we desecrate the sanctity of human life? If you have taken the time to read this, please have the courage to do something for the unborn!"

The Graphic Display of Aborted Fetuses by Pro-life Organizations. Nobody likes the graphic display of bloody pictures of aborted babies. Pro-life organizations have argued that women need to see what really happens when an abortion is performed, and that some pregnant women upon seeing them have turned away in horror from abortion clinics and decided to carry their pregnancy to term. This makes sense, but many other women have experienced the opposite reaction to those ugly pictures and responded with utter disdain towards those displaying them. This prompted me to write to Operation Rescue the following suggestion:
"Those who defend women's right to choose should be given a graphic picture of what that choice is: a choice between a live and a dead baby. This means to me that in order to illustrate correctly what real choice is, pro-lifers should display the picture of a live baby next to the picture of every one that has been aborted."
My suggestion fell on deaf ears. That was sometime ago. I was surprised, though, to discover that one of their huge pro-life trucks had a picture of a beautiful live baby. Perhaps my suggestion was not as crazy as they thought at first!
