Creation Evolution Debate
Needs Even Chance!
by Nic Samojluk
What happened in Dover Pensylvania illustrates the fact that the search for truth regarding origins is obscured by the monopoly over education by academia where Darwinian evolution reigns supreme and any attempt to inject cool logic into the debate is derailed by those in power. There is a great need to even the playing field so that scientific truth can prevail.

'Ideology deludes, inspires dishonesty, and breeds fanaticism. Facts, experience, and logic are much better at leading you to truth. Truth, however, is not everyone's intended destination." These are the observations of Daniel J. Flynn in his 2004 book "Intellectual Morons."
Is his quote applicable to the intelligent design versus natural selection debate? I think it is. The December decision by U.S. District Judge John E. Jones in Dover Pennsylvania that Intelligent Design (ID) is not a scientifically based theory only confuses this debate and does not bring us closer to truth, assuming that is the goal.

Science requires verification and experimentation. No evolutionists has ever been able to verify in the laboratory the common ancestor theory. Therefore, if Intelligent Design is not science, then it follows that evolution is not science either. It looks like science, but it is based on the philosophical assumption that just because we share with apes similar DNA features, that we share with them a common ancestor as well. How about a common design instead of a common ancestor?
